Professor Greg Dore awarded Eureka Prize

09 Dec 2020

Congratulations to Professor Greg Dore who has won the Eureka Prize for Infectious Diseases Research.

The annual Eureka Prizes are the country’s most prestigious awards recognising excellence in research & innovation, leadership, science engagement and school science.

Professor Dore established the Hepatitis C Clinic in 1999 and has been working with and researching for Hep C affected people ever since.

He led the first international trials to include a range of study populations from this marginalised group. His research informs clinical practices and improves these groups' access to hepatitis C therapy globally.

“I’m incredibly appreciative of Australian Hep C affected communities, particularly people who inject drugs, for their participation, support and trust in our HCV research”. Professor Dore.
