Support services

The St Vincent’s Darlinghurst Campus Environmental Services Department provides the cleaning services for St Vincent’s Public Hospital, St Vincent’s Private Hospital, St Vincent’s Clinic, The Sacred Heart Health Service and other Darlinghurst precinct partners, such as The Victor Chang Cardiac Research Centre.

Environmental Services strives to ensure that we deliver the best patient care possible through the highest level of cleanliness and customer service.

We clean and maintain all clinical and non-clinical areas for patients, guests and staff. Environmental Services is also responsible for the provision of all linen services, internal and external mailroom services, and oversees waste management within our campus.

St Vincent’s Hospital is committed to its sustainability program and recycles more than 165 tonnes of paper and cardboard, 430 tonnes of organic food waste, plastic, tins, and other co-mingle waste items and 7 tonnes of sterile wrap per year.

We clean over 366 patient rooms and clinical work areas, public areas, and staff facilities every day of the year.
