Course overview:

The course is aimed at practising surgeons and registrars. Both plastic and ENT surgeons are welcome. The sessions are both lectures and dissection. The morning is devoted to approach and the afternoon to refinement.


Our invited speakers:
Dr. Palhazi’s specialty is clinical anatomy and plastic surgery. He has performed dissections regularly for years to gain an understanding of facial anatomy and surgery. He is currently the Chairman of the Clinical Anatomy Focus Group of the European Academy of Facial Plastic Surgery, founding member of the International Rhinoplasty Research Society. His main field of interest is facial plastic surgery, especially rhinoplasty and nonsurgical aesthetic procedures. He published several research articles and book chapters from breast surgery to the salivary glands. He has published a landmark anatomical and surgical book on rhinoplasty, providing an authoritative and hugely detailed account of this fascinating subject. He recently published a second rhinoplasty book on preservation rhinoplasty, that developed from in-depth anatomical knowledge of the face. He published a DVD atlas, called: Applied Anatomy of the Face for Filler and Botulinum Toxin Injection. Furthermore, he has written several book chapters on the topic of facial fillers and facial anatomy. He regularly lectures on rhinoplasty, facial anatomy internationally all over the world.

Dr.Abdülkadir GÖKSEL is board certified by the European  Board of Facial Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery. He is the international member of American Academy of the Facial Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery,  European Academy of Facial Plastic Surgery, European Rhinoplasty Society, Turkish Facial Plastic Surgery Foundation. 
Dr.Göksel was an International Invited Speaker in many International Congresses in Europe, Russia, Asia, Turkey. In 2001 he founded Rino Istanbul Rhinoplasty Center  in Istanbul. Mainly focused on rhinoplasty in the last 15 years. Although he is in private practice, Dr. Goksel is active in the teaching of rhinoplastic surgery at the national and international levels. During last nearly 10 years he personally trained young surgeons in the art and science of rhinoplasty surgery.Since 2005 Dr. Goksel took part as a guest speaker, moderator more than in 40 professional events. Dr. Goksel is a permanent chairman of the Istanbul Rhinoplasty Workshop. 

Course Faculty

George Marcells is the President of the Australasian Academy of Facial Plastic Sugery and director of Bondi Junction Private Hospital. He is a US board exam certified facial plastic surgeon and has extensive experience in rhinoplasty.

Sim Choroomi is a Sydney based facial plastic surgeon with American Board training based in Los Angeles with a research  focus on rhinoplastic techniques.

Paul Gerarchi is board exam certified with the American Academy of Facial Plastic Surgery. He is in private practice, The Face Institute and specialises in functional, reconstructive and aesthetic surgery of the nose and face.

Prof Richard Harvey is a dedicated Rhinologist and international speaker in disorders of the nose, sinus and nasal breathing. He has expertise in difficult and revision rhinoplasty works and has published research in the field.

All members of the Faculty have wide experience in the management of cosmetic and functional nasal surgery including rhinoplasty techniques. They are actively involved in teaching and research.
