The NSW Health Human Research Ethics and Governance information System (REGIS) commenced soft-launch implementation 12 February 2018.
Full launch of REGIS was anticipated to open to all new applications from 16 April, however the soft launch period has been extended to allow further refinement of research office related workflows within the system and development of Quick Reference Guides (QRGs) to support Users.
During the extended soft-launch period, new applications for local, single centre projects will continue to be received through REGIS for the sites listed below as per local advice. All other projects should continue to be submitted utilising Online Forms, as is the case now.
As of 26 March, the following Public Health Organisations within the ACT and NSW are receiving local, single centre ethics (HREA) and site-governance (SSA) applications via REGIS:
Central Coast Local Health District, NSW Ambulance, NSW Health Pathology, NSW Population and Health Service HREC (PHSREC) and Northern Sydney Local Health District are scheduled to commence in coming weeks.
Please contact the relevant research office to determine how best to submit your ethics and/or site-governance application during this period.
The revised date for full launch of REGIS will be announced as soon as possible and arrangements for the transition from submission via Online Forms confirmed.
