The anecdotal evidence that cannabis has a positive effect on a long list of medical conditions from epilepsy, to pain and cancer is building. However, to date there's been scant clinical evidence to back up these claims. At St Vincent's, Director of Palliative Care, A/Prof Richard Chye is starting a clinical trial with terminally ill cancer patients to discover how medicinal cannabis can help with pain and appetite.
