National recognition for LGBTQ+ inclusion at St Vincent’s

17 Apr 2026

The Pride in Health and Wellbeing Awards celebrate individuals and organisations making a meaningful contribution to LGBTQ+ inclusion in healthcare and community services across Australia. Delivered by ACON, the awards recognise excellence in inclusive service provision and leadership.

St Vincent’s Health Network Sydney was once again recognised at the 2026 Pride in Health and Wellbeing Awards, receiving national acknowledgement for both individual leadership and sustained organisational commitment to LGBTQ+ inclusive service provision.

This year, Daniel Schneider, Patient Administration Analyst at Digital Darlinghurst, received the LGBTQ+ Role Model Award, recognising his visible leadership and outstanding contribution to advocating for and promoting LGBTQ+ inclusive service delivery within the organisation. Daniel also serves as Chair of the St Vincent’s Health Network Sydney Youth Advisory Board, supporting the voices of early career employees across the Network.

In addition, St Vincent’s Health Network Sydney has retained its Platinum Service Level status, the highest tier available in the Pride in Health and Wellbeing program. This recognition reflects a continued commitment to delivering inclusive, safe and affirming care for LGBTQ+ patients, clients, visitors and staff.

These accolades are a testament to the dedication of many, particularly Bec Cerio, Sexuality and Gender Diversity Lead, and the Pride@SVHNS staff pride network, whose tireless efforts continue to strengthen inclusion across the organisation.

Congratulations to Daniel (pictured below) and to everyone involved in this well-deserved recognition.
