St Vincent’s Rose of Tralee

St Vincent’s Rose of Tralee

31 Jul 2023

Mental Health Clinical Nurse Educator, Aoife Butler will representing Sydney in one of Ireland’s oldest and largest festivals, the Rose of Tralee, celebrated among Irish communities all over the world.

Growing up watching the Rose of Tralee back home in Ireland before moving to Sydney in 2019, Aoife entered the festival knowing that winning the title would give her an international platform, to share her passion for advocating for people experiencing mental ill health.

Having already won the title of Sydney Rose, Aoife will now travel to Ireland for the five day festival where she will be competing for the title against 32 ‘Roses’ from around the globe, in the hopes of taking on the coveted year-long ambassadorial role.

Already Aoife has featured in several Irish national news events, and has even been spruiking St Vincent’s, encouraging other young Irish nurses to join us here in Sydney.

The Rose of Tralee is kicking off this August 18 and is televised throughout Ireland. We wish Aoife all best!
