Duchess of York to tour St Vincent's ICU in lead up to major fundraising campaign

Sarah Ferguson, Duchess of York arrived in Sydney this week to support a new fundraising campaign for the Intensive Care Unit at St Vincent’s Hospital Sydney.  Today the Duchess will undertake a tour of this critical care ward, observe the life-saving work of doctors and nurses in the ICU and see first-hand the equipment that needs updating, including new critical care beds, bedside patient monitors and dialysis machines. 

St Vincent’s has a tradition of strong community support to provide state of the art equipment to support the Hospital’s reputation for unparalleled patient outcomes.

The following night, Friday 21 October, the Duchess will be Guest of Honour at the
St Vincent’s Curran Foundation’s Life Ball, where a $3.2 million fundraising campaign for equipment replacement program in the ICU will be officially launched.
