Emeritus Professor Terry Campbell, AM retires You are here:HomeNewsroomNews Emeritus Professor Terry Campbell, AM retires 23 Aug 2023 Recently we celebrated the extraordinary achievements of Emeritus Professor Terry Campbell AM, and his contribution to St Vincent's over the past 48 years. For the past decade, Terry has served us as Executive Director of Research, but Terry’s lifelong commitment to medicine and research began much earlier - in 1975, when he commenced his medical internship and residency here at St Vincent’s, working alongside the late Victor Chang. His own research has encompassed both basic laboratory research in cardiac pharmacology and clinical cardiology, and he has published over 120 peer-reviewed papers in these fields. Terry's leadership and guidance has had a profound impact on St Vincent's, his students and colleagues, and has left an incredible legacy of building research as a priority for our campus. We are incredibly grateful to Terry for giving us his life's work, and we wish him all the very best in his retirement.
