Across SVHA we’ve launched a new brand and strategy to articulate our promise to deliver better and fairer care in the spirit of our foresisters, the Sisters of Charity. In this edition alone, we’re profiling some incredible initiatives including research-led interventions to address health inequities in our disadvantaged communities, stronger regulations to address preventable presentations to our emergency department, actions to reduce health disparities for communities in regional NSW, and innovative inroads toward closing the gap in life expectancy for our Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islander peoples. There’s no doubt we’ve started the year at full speed ahead, and there is so much more to accomplish. But from time to time, it’s important to stop and reflect on the great work that we do as a St Vincent’s team. I encourage you to take a moment to read through some of the initiatives in this edition of St Vincent’s Voice, and I hope you take pride in them, knowing that teamwork and commitment to our values underpins everything we achieve at St Vincent's.
