New state-of-the-art operating theatres

St Vincent’s is embarking on an exciting new project to refurbish all ten of the existing operating theatres, and establish a brand new endoscopy suite.  

The new state-of-the art operating theatre complex will boast many additional features, including improved lighting and increased ability to clean and decontaminate surfaces to enhance infection control. It will provide a better working environment for our theatre staff and ultimately boost safe and efficient care for our patients.

The physical building works will be conducted in stages, therefore creating minimal disruption to patients and staff, and will ensure we are still able to meet our waitlist obligations by maintaining the same available theatre sessions with little to no interruption to services.

The new operating suites, including the new endoscopy theatre are expected to be completed by the end of July.
