Our Service Includes: FREE and confidential treatment with proven effectiveness. Evidence-based treatment that works for you to gain control of your gambling problem. Other common psychological issues such as depression and anxiety are addressed too. We can assist people with a gambling problem to self-exclude from venues around where they live, work and socialise. Support and assistance for partners, family and friends (Help for partners, friends and family members) Short-term treatment to achieve long-term outcomes. Our clients typically attend for 6 to 12 sessions of individual therapy. However, we understand that everyone is different, so the number of sessions you need will become clearer once treatment commences. Ongoing follow-up and to ensure you maintain your progress. Experienced and compassionate Clinical Psychologists monitor your progress every step of the way. We understand that every gambler is different and we will work to achieve the best outcomes for you. Self-exclusion Clients are able to complete self-exclusions deeds themselves, we are able to complete self-exclusions deeds for client via the MVSE system. Self-Exclusion Program | Multi-Venue Self-Exclusion (MVSE) We are able to support clients with all forms of self-exclusion including The Crown and The Star Casinos Self-Exclusion Program Information - Crown Sydney Please note, we are unable to help revoke self-exclusion deeds before the expiry date once submitted. Betstop is the national self-exclusion register. BetStop is a safe and free Australian Government initiative to block yourself from all licensed Australian online and phone gambling providers. You can create an account here: betstop.gov.au Peer Support A peer worker is a person who uses their lived experience of addiction, harm and recovery, plus skills learned in formal training, to deliver services in support of others. Our peer worker Tim Gray uses his experience with gambling harm to support others and is trained to facilitate safe and respectful conversations for anyone experiencing harms due to gambling. Tim is also our Aboriginal Health Education Officer and provides culturally safe support for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people. Read more about Tim here. Financial Counselling We work with our partner agencies to provide financial counselling for people and families affected by gambling. Our financial counsellors support clients to make their own informed choices to get the best outcome in managing debts, assisting to make financial decisions, providing a financial position, and ongoing support, advocating on behalf of clients to help overcome their hardships, providing information about accessing grants or concessions, making sure clients understand their rights, and assisting them to access dispute resolution services, legal help, or other appropriate assistance. Our partner agencies also provide gambling counselling with certified counsellors. Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander support Our Aboriginal Health Education Officer Tim Gray provides culturally safe support for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people affected by gambling, providing one on one support, facilitating yarning circles, and outreach and education.
