Use of human tissue/material/biobanking

Researchers wishing to access human tissue for research purposes, from collections held by St Vincent's Hospital and its associated sites, must comply with the following policies and legislation. The guidelines and requirements from these policies are in addition to any requirements associated with HREC or Governance submissions, and should be incorporated and/or addressed in any application to an HREC relating to the use of human tissue for research.

The St Vincent’s Biorepository provides St Vincent’s Hospital Darlinghurst researchers with infrastructure to help coordinate and facilitate collection, processing and storage of human biospecimens for use in biomedical research and clinical trials.
