Course overview:

This study day aims to provide participants with the advanced theoretical knowledge and skills necessary to provide specialised care to complex, orthogeriatric patients, within a multidisciplinary environment.


A range of orthopaedic medical, nursing and allied health specialists

Key topics:

Upon completion of this program participants will be able to:

  • Examine and assess the complex needs of the orthogeriatric patient in the ward environment
  • Critique the organisational protocols and procedures essential for the care of such a patient in the ward environment
  • Recognise an orthogeriatric patient at risk of delirium and construct an appropriate management plan for the ward environment
