It is particularly suitable for anaesthetic or recovery room nurses, however it is also suitable for other perioperative nurses (eg.night duty, instrument/circulating) who assist in the anaesthetic or recovery nursing role. This course is also suitable for nurses giving sedation in procedure areas. During the workshop we will be applying Advanced Life Support principles and techniques so you may wish to review the ALS Algorithm etc prior to the workshop; The ARC Guidelines are available at the Australian Resuscitation Council (ARC) website http://www.resus.org.au. Go to “Guidelines” (at the top of webpage) - The Advanced Life Support is section 11 and an Algorithm is found on page 8 of Section 11.2 (Protocols for Adult ALS).
