St Vincent's Clinical Genomics (SVCG) was launched in 2016, with a mission to improve individual patient’s clinical and psychosocial outcomes through evidence-based and innovative service that enables genetic diagnosis, tailored treatment, and risk management of relatives.
SVCG is one of the few in the world that provides an integrated and public genomics service within the mainstream health care. The SVCG is uniquely supported by rich research infrastructure at the Garvan Institute of Medical Research, Victor Change Cardiac Research Institute, and the UNSW; as well as specialist expertise on campus, in providing highly integrated multidisciplinary patient care, via the following public clinics:
- Cardiac Genomics Clinic
- Neurogenomics Clinic
- Vascular Genomics Clinic
- Endocrine Genomics Clinic
- Immunogenomics Clinic
- Pharmacogenomics Clinic
- Telehealth Clinic
We offer a comprehensive range of genomic and genetic testing options, including pharmacogenomics testing. We provide genetic assessment, genetic diagnosis, pre-test and post-test counselling, result interpretation, and consultative advice on rare disease management and/or risk management. We also offer psychosocial support to individuals and families who have concerns about their genetic diagnosis.
We provide nation-wide service, via either in-person or telehealth clinics, to adult patients aged 16 years or over, with a suspected genetic diagnosis.
