Osteoarthritis Chronic Care Program (OACCP)

The Osteoarthritis Chronic Care Program (OACCP) at St Vincent’s Hospital is for patients with a diagnosis of hip or knee Osteoarthritis.

The OACCP is a 12-month program consisting of Physiotherapy, Occupational Therapy, Dietetics and Clinical Psychology. This multidisciplinary program provides comprehensive assessment and evidence-based treatment options to help patients:

  • manage their pain and stiffness
  • improve their muscle strength
  • support their nutritional needs and
  • support their psychological needs

The OACCP is a requirement before joint replacement surgery at St Vincent’s Hospital and can help patients to recover faster after surgery.

St Vincent’s Hospital OACCP will see:

  • patients with a diagnosis of hip and/or knee osteoarthritis, living in the St Vincent’s Hospital catchment area, for non-surgical management
