About Us Clinical Psychology Clinical psychology services are offered to inpatients and outpatients at Sacred Heart Rehabilitation Service to assist individuals cope with and adapt to the effects of injury or illness. Frequent presenting problems include mood and anxiety disorders, adjustment difficulties, grief and loss, complex family dynamics, substance misuse, personality vulnerabilities, treatment adherence and chronic pain. Clinical Neuropsychology Cognitive assessment and consultation is available for inpatients and outpatients as referred by the treating doctor following any neurological disorder or traumatic brain injury. Feedback is provided to patients and families to advise on return to previous occupational/educational roles, driving, ongoing cognitive deficits and provision of practical compensatory strategies. Referrals For inpatients, referrals for psychology services are made via SVH Web de Lacy (to Liaison Psychiatry) by the treating medical team. For community patients living within the SVH catchment area, referrals are made by the treating clinician or case managing nurse and faxed to the Liaison Psychiatry Department.
