Cancer Genetic Service You are here:HomeOur servicesList of servicesCancer Genetic Service The St Vincent's Hospital Sydney Cancer Genetics Service provides risk assessment, evidence based advise and cancer genetic testing to eligible individuals and their families. We care for over 2,000 families from our local area as well as across Sydney and NSW. Our new patient referral numbers doubled last year and continue to rise. Our service has an active research focus but our main goal is to meet patient and doctor expectations, with a view to preventing cancer or enabling it’s early detection, when cure is most likely. Our team works with all stakeholders and attends cancer multidisciplinary team meetings where the care of cancer patients are discussed, in order to promote best practice.
