The Suicide Prevention Outreach Team (SPOT)

The Suicide Prevention Outreach Team provides peer led support during a patient's stay in hospital, from a team of peer workers with lived experience. The team can see patients for up to 6 weeks after having left the hospital, ensuring a continuation of care and support.

The team can also provide support to families, carers and other support people to enhance each individual's recovery while remaining within their own community.

Our team is focused on helping patients and clients to build resilience, develop a better understand mental illness, promote wellbeing and recovery and helping to establish a network of community supports.

Our flexible team can offer visits to the home, appointments via telephone or video calls or we can meet clients in the community.
