Helping with movement

Sometimes moving around safely becomes difficult when a person is sick. If you are caring for someone who is ill, you may have to help them move around safely. The written material and videos below are from international sources that show some examples of how this may be done. Please be aware that they do not replace personal assessments and these websites may use words that differ from how we would use them here in Australia. Sometimes your health care provider may suggest a review by an occupational therapist (OT) or a physiotherapist to help you learn how to move your loved one safely. Please contact your case manager for more details if you would like more information.
